That’s what I think when getting off the phone with a client who decides to book me and put their trust in me to capture memories of the first days with their baby.
There is an excitement, honor and joy… Oh so much joy!! Because, trust me, I remember well those precious moments.
The euphoria and new life long challenge creates such a mixture of emotions! Even total exhaustion and lack of sleep can’t erase the happiness of holding a little gem in your arms… Those first weeks seem like out of this world.
Talking about taking on a new role and starting a new chapter, right?
That’s definitely an important element to capture, but, let me tell you, who else gets a new role… a little sibling.
During this baby session, as the Jacksonville FL newborn photographer I knew it was crucial to capture just that, a very fresh relationship between a newborn baby girl and her still very tiny BIG little sister.
“Sisters. You might be as different as the sun and the moon, but the same blood flows through both your hearts. You need her, as she needs you.”
With such adoration I stepped into this home and shadowed this family of four to freeze those darling moments for them. Maybe, just an embrace, a hug, a giggle… hand on the baby’s heart, unsure expression and minutes just before the nap… All of that created a unique story for this family and I am blessed to witness just that!
