What a fun family session in Downtown Jacksonville!
When it comes to family photography, some sessions are just packed with energy and joy. This one was exactly that! I recently had the pleasure of photographing a family of five in downtown Jacksonville, with a funky style on the entire family we had to choose a perfect backdrop. Our location of choice? A stunning glass mural that brought color and creativity to the photos. The glistering light and tiny reflection of the mural added even more pattern and fun to the family that was already so full of joy!
When a friend of mine, a person that have been motivating me and so many other people to follow our faith and calling to help others, reached out about his family photos I had no doubt we can capture their unique connection for them.
With parents full of wonderful loving energy, two adventurous brothers and a spirited sister in tow, this session was anything but ordinary.
The kids were full of life, and it didn’t take long for the fun to begin. Jumping contests became the highlight of the session, with each sibling trying to outdo the others. Big brother leapt with strength I could envy, little brother added his own goofy spin, and their sister twirled and danced with endless grace.
The parents were just as playful, joining in the fun with group hugs, silly faces, and a few impromptu dance moves. (Pro tip: nothing makes kids giggle more than seeing mom break out their “moves”!) The combination of laughter and lighthearted chaos made for some of the most authentic and heartwarming photos. Their expressions were priceless—equal parts excitement and pure joy. Every photo felt like a slice of their unique family dynamic and made me love them even more!
I’m always reminded during sessions like these that the best photos happen when families are just being themselves whether it is dancing, laughing, being silly, and soaking up the moment together or simply hugging.
To this family of five: thank you for bringing your energy, joy, and authenticity. Your session was an absolute blast, and I hope these photos always remind you of this fun chapter in your lives. You are a blessing and a ray of sunshine!
