It’s so good to start Holiday season again! We are only a couple of months away from Christmas, and that means there will be a lot Family Sessions coming up!
The fall season can be so busy due to Christmas cards mailing deadline and beautiful cool weather here in Florida. Actually, it is one of my favourite times in the whole year!
This beautiful family was photographed by me for the 2nd time around, and each time I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to take pictures of them when they were expecting a baby.
Whoever knows me, understands how much I love Maternity Sessions! It’s always so exciting to see my previous client again and watch their family and children grow. Not mentioning, how heartfelt is to capture their pregnancy! It’s been a while since I saw their beautiful girl, first daughter, actually when she was still in the belly, and I am so excited for her to be a big sister so soon, and surely enough she already had choices for her name!
There is nothing like Family Session in California sunset, I tell you! Sharing my love for photography with others means everything to me!
My little family of 4 decided to be brave and after 3 weeks of travel in Europe we went on another 3 weeks long trip to Colorado and California with a California Zephyr train across 3 states in between. When I mentioned to my friends that we will be driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles at the end of the trip, one amazing lady who is a photographer and a friend, invited us over to Sacramento!
We had arranged mini shoot by her and another sweet friend of mine. All of them are such a talent in this industry!! We not only shot this beautiful mom with her kiddos, photographed this sweet little family but also had a time to spend some time just simply relaxing. Kids played together like they were friends forever, husbands grilled out and the next day nobody wanted to leave! I swear, my kids plan to come back to Sacramento already!!
It was so wonderful to meet up, to photograph together, to change scenery and enjoy golden fields of California! I can now understand love and definition of “golden sunsets”, “California fields” and adoration for this state
Just look at this hill and this beautiful family of 4!!
I will go back in there at any time!
Traveling around the country and world is one of my passions and I am thrilled to be able capture my clients memories outside United States and outside my home state: Florida.
If you need me to travel outside of Florida to photograph your family, maternity, kids or newborn session, CONTACT ME to talk about the details and let’s arrange your wonderful shoot!
My favorite part of being a family photographer is not only being able to capture those sweet moments for you, but especially to witness all those amazing changes. There really are no words! Last time I saw this sweet family it was during their Newborn Session. It’s truly mindblowing how fast those sweet kiddos grew and how their personalities evolved.
I love watching them playing, giggling and going through all the stages of childhood. I often look at them and smile, because as a mom of two children I often understand it all so well. I also know, that I look back at those times where they were 1… 2… 3 years old, probably until they will be grown-ups, and I want to remember everything even more.
I couldn’t be more grateful to use my talent in such ways and help you freeze time. So glad I could be here to help you capture them!
“We take photos as a return ticket to the moments otherwise gone”
Maternity is such an amazing time to capture. It has such a depth to it, started so innocent with a smile, butterflies… with a love story, and it goes so much further, blooming into such a amazing journey… Nine months later, there will be another new voice heard in your home, you will hear more little steps across your floors, many firsts of everything which years later will start another new love story of it’s on… Beginning of beginnings, really… There is nothing quite like it: honest, emotive, delicate, yet beaming with strength. My heart is in every frame I capture, but expecting moms and motherhood is truly understood by me. So as soon as the possibility of photographing this maternity session came up, I was so full of anticipation of what this opportunity would be like.
As always I gathered my information ahead of time, we discussed the light in their house, clothing, time and talked about children they already have. From the time the door opened in front of me and a husband holding a little precious girl welcomed me with a smile on his face, I knew I had an amazing couple hours ahead of me. As mom was finishing up getting ready, I was chatting with her well behaved little boy… a big brother. Soon after, he and I were climbing stairs with his sister giggling and just watching her steps. She was definitely leading the way, occasionally holding her dad’s hand…. My heart was melting. Of course I was observing every minute of it through my lens, at least until mom came downstairs.
Let me tell you something, over the years I learned to use even minimal light in my photography, since many clients’ houses don’t have a great amount of natural light. This session’s room was full of light (even on a cloudy day)! White walls, minimal window treatment… this was going in such a different direction, and I loved it! I knew that even in this airy space I will be still able to capture the depth. I will create shadows, but what was important we created connection and from now on depth in emotions was what I was interested in the most. I browsed around the room planning in my head on how I will use this great setting, and we were on to pause this amazing stage of their life, forever.
It really didn’t take that long for this beautiful mom to relax and let her true emotions show. From the peaceful and intimate moments, a little laugh and joined family pictures, those couple of hours flew by. I remember very well, when we were finishing up and her boy came into the room saying: “Are you done, already?!!” He was so surprised, it made me laugh a little! We just needed a couple of moments between mom and daughter being captured: we had maybe 5 minutes to go. I knew she was getting tired, so I just asked mom to snuggle with her baby for a little while… Which brought me to tears, when I remembered my daughter was resting on my shoulder, playing with my hair and holding me the same way as her daughter did … There was so much peacefulness, love and joy in the air… I almost didn’t want to wrap up the session yet.
But we were all ready… we saved those fleeting minutes for her, and I knew we did wonderfully!!
