When Maternity Session turns into a Family Session, you sure can expect lots of energy and that’s exactly what we had when a sweet daughter of this glowing expecting mamma joined us.
So glad we hugged tight and let her be a center of attention for couple frames. Those moment will fly by and since soon she will be a big sister, attention seams just a perfect thing to give her, right?
It was all about love, new life and bright future. That light couldn’t be any more magical and simply perfect for the occasion as you can see.
Soul, joy and illuminating beauty, that’s all I see when browsing once again through those images. Such a blessing to be able capture those for them!
If you know my work already, you know how important it is to me to capture soulful moments in my clients’ lives! This could be any kind of photography: children, family, maternity… but I have to feel all those wonderful emotions when I see them through my camera. And I am so blessed that I do! My clients are quite wonderful! As I always do, I met with this mom-to-be ahead of time and from that moment on I knew, this is going to be beautiful and we are going to have lots of fun! I couldn’t be any more right! It’s funny, how clients worry about not being natural and not quite knowing what to do and then what truly comes out of them when we simply talk during our session. Probably my excitment and ooing might be lifting them up ;) and confirming that things are going beyond great. When I am looking back at those images I see more than love, I see simply joy of spending life together and going through this exciting time with perfect person for them. No doubt! So much closeness, so much connection, so much what we could wish to anybody; finding love of their life and best friend. Sure I can say, this is what Maternity Photography is about for me. This is why I pick up my camera, this is why I go into the ocean almost up to my butt, this is why I come back home leaving a sandy trail all over, clean up, dry up and l just smile when turn on back my camera to recheck the images. Fullfilment in this moment is beyond roof! This is what I want to do as long as I can, and this is how I want to share my talent with as many people as possible.
Maternity beach session, full of love, wind, joy, togetherness… Not sure if this can get any better. Ponte Vedra Beach photographer.
I am looking back at this session and smiling. This little girl’s mom told me that her daughter is quite shy. Pretty much 30 minutes into the session we were chasing each other and holding hands and she smiled with the best toothless smile ever!
So sweet that this big sister was a part of her mom’s Maternity Session!
Connection between mom and a daughter is one of the most beautiful ones and to capture them in such a great moment is just heartwarming, wonderful experience!
Did I mentioned that I am in love with the rainbow flare image of mom??!! Stunning! No editing tricks there, just right lens.
It was just amazing to be able not only travel to see my family in Europe, but to also help my clients there as well.
There is a little bit of melancholia when I think about Poland.
It’s been over 2 years when I’ve been there last time and saw my family. It felt pretty incredible to drive around and find spots for session. Even though it was pretty cold in the beginning of Spring, the excitement and photographing this beautiful mom to be kept my soul and spirit warm.
This is new beginning of spreading my services in and outside of United States. I am so looking forward to all maternity, children and family sessions outside Florida!
When another photographer, whose work I follow, asks to shoot her Maternity Session…
IT’S SUCH AN HONOR. It’s simply such an honor for others to put trust in me. I feel this way about every client of mine. There is something even more special, when somebody who understands photography so well and who is so very talented, decides to book a session with me while they are away from home. Floored? Yes, I was floored. Most definitely! I know this lady for quite a long time, through Clickin Moms mostly, but I pretty much follow her work all over social media. So when I learned she was coming to Jacksonville AND booked a session with me, AND I would meet her family and see her beautiful belly, I WAS ALL IN. Head first! Hahaha, not kidding! I have to tell you, I loved their kids! Such fun, sweet kiddos and I think it is fair to say I made friends with them for life. Ok, joking! But we did ended up drinking milkshakes together and eating burgers, so that tells you something… We were hungry. Ha! We wished to have a little more time, but I simply couldn’t wait to get back home and upload those images! This mom was glowing! I gasped pretty much each time I was taking picture of her and wind came to frame…
I feel like I am giving you too many words. Just look, and you will know exactly what I mean.
“We take photos as a return ticket to the moments otherwise gone”
Maternity is such an amazing time to capture. It has such a depth to it, started so innocent with a smile, butterflies… with a love story, and it goes so much further, blooming into such a amazing journey… Nine months later, there will be another new voice heard in your home, you will hear more little steps across your floors, many firsts of everything which years later will start another new love story of it’s on… Beginning of beginnings, really… There is nothing quite like it: honest, emotive, delicate, yet beaming with strength. My heart is in every frame I capture, but expecting moms and motherhood is truly understood by me. So as soon as the possibility of photographing this maternity session came up, I was so full of anticipation of what this opportunity would be like.
As always I gathered my information ahead of time, we discussed the light in their house, clothing, time and talked about children they already have. From the time the door opened in front of me and a husband holding a little precious girl welcomed me with a smile on his face, I knew I had an amazing couple hours ahead of me. As mom was finishing up getting ready, I was chatting with her well behaved little boy… a big brother. Soon after, he and I were climbing stairs with his sister giggling and just watching her steps. She was definitely leading the way, occasionally holding her dad’s hand…. My heart was melting. Of course I was observing every minute of it through my lens, at least until mom came downstairs.
Let me tell you something, over the years I learned to use even minimal light in my photography, since many clients’ houses don’t have a great amount of natural light. This session’s room was full of light (even on a cloudy day)! White walls, minimal window treatment… this was going in such a different direction, and I loved it! I knew that even in this airy space I will be still able to capture the depth. I will create shadows, but what was important we created connection and from now on depth in emotions was what I was interested in the most. I browsed around the room planning in my head on how I will use this great setting, and we were on to pause this amazing stage of their life, forever.
It really didn’t take that long for this beautiful mom to relax and let her true emotions show. From the peaceful and intimate moments, a little laugh and joined family pictures, those couple of hours flew by. I remember very well, when we were finishing up and her boy came into the room saying: “Are you done, already?!!” He was so surprised, it made me laugh a little! We just needed a couple of moments between mom and daughter being captured: we had maybe 5 minutes to go. I knew she was getting tired, so I just asked mom to snuggle with her baby for a little while… Which brought me to tears, when I remembered my daughter was resting on my shoulder, playing with my hair and holding me the same way as her daughter did … There was so much peacefulness, love and joy in the air… I almost didn’t want to wrap up the session yet.
But we were all ready… we saved those fleeting minutes for her, and I knew we did wonderfully!!
